The Lauriston community is dynamic and diverse. It consists of current and past students and families, current and former staff, and others who have been involved in the School in various ways.

There are many members of our community who are in need of support. Our older alumnae members are particularly vulnerable in this current environment and may require support in instances such as:

• Local shopping for provisions
• Socialising (within social-distancing parameters) and ‘popping in for a cuppa’
• A telephone call for a chat
• Checking up on a member’s well-being
• Odd jobs around the house
• Small errands

The Old Lauristonians’ Association (OLA) is building a list of volunteers who are interested in supporting and helping people in need.

When a ‘Request for Support’ is received by the OLA, the OLA will reach out to its volunteers and facilitate the connection between the volunteer and the person in need.
